What to Do

The North Fork is a destination for all seasons.

During the summer months, the temperature typically ranges from 70-80 degrees, making it the ideal time to enjoy boating, the beautiful beaches of the bay or the Sound, the trials, and state parks.

The fall is harvest season - a great time to visit farm stands filled with local and seasonal produce, activities for children, and tasty baked goods. Enjoy fresh roasted corn, pumpkin and apple picking, fall festivals and elaborate corn mazes. Or visit one of the more than 35 vineyards for tastings and tours.

Winter is the perfect time to cozy up with Long Island wine, escape the hustle and bustle of the daily grind, and experience the quiet and tranquil wonder of the North Fork.

Spring brings beautiful blossoms, fresh succulent produce from our farms, and the opportunity to enjoy the warmer weather in the countryside.
